  • I first became acquainted with Blythe some years back when I first saw her in a magazine article. Her big eyes didn’t scare me as much as they appealed to me. So much character in them! Each of her poses in the article were full of expression; she just seemed so real. The Takara reproductions weren’t exactly cheap as chips (the original Kenners were even more ridiculously priced) – especially not for a starving uni student. XD Rediscovered Blythe while blog-surfing this year, and as luck would have it, I saw a neo Blythe in a store while I was in Melbourne. They were bigger than I expected them to be, but I fell hard for them, and a few days after, I got my first girl! (What can I say, I don’t deliberate for long when it comes to shopping.) To date, I have five neo and three petite Blythes. Hopefully there’ll be more Blythes to come, when my disposable income gets past the negligible state again. Good thing is, I’ve started crafting lately, so with the load of spare yarn and swatches of fabric I have lying around, my girls wouldn’t have to suffer the same clothes every day. Meanwhile, you can find out more about the girls that I have to date.
