For the blog over at mspolly.com, anyway. The web hosting plan I’m on is about to expire, and I’m in too much of a pinch to renew the subscription. XD Thus, the move over to WP.com. At least the domain’s still mine till next year, so that’s one thing I don’t have to worry about. But, my Flickr Pro account is due for renewal though – need to magic USD25 into my PayPal account somehow. Without the help of my credit cards. I think it’s time to sell some dolly-related stuff. 
For the peeps who aren’t in the know, I’ve made the decision to halt studies (AGAIN). Somehow, being away from uni for a while, and not being able to go through with the architecture course has done something to make me seriously doubt my abilities at anything academic. So I’m in the process of job hunting. It’s causing some angst in the family (although James’ side has been more than supportive), and there’s been suggestions that maybe I should go up and live in Newcastle for a while. I think that’ll depend on if I get offered any positions here in Melbourne. Because, honestly, I like living here.
I’ve been called in for a couple of interviews too, so at least I know my resume isn’t a lost cause! If anyone out there knows of any positions that need to be filled (preferably in the admin, design or sales and management areas), I’m available!
Before my life can get interesting, I’m slapped with the realisation that exams are less than 3 weeks away (thank you, countdown timer!). So it’s time to hit the books. 
I sort of wish it’ll just all start sooner so I can get it over and done with, but really, who am I kidding? I’m not even vaguely prepared for it.
Oh why did I piss fart around for the whole semester?!
Finally done with all my assignments for the semester! Woot!
Had probably the worst two weeks so far at uni – had three assignments due back to back. Urgh. Was totally exhausted from all the work since I probably had a total of maybe 12 hours’ worth of sleep in the past three days till yesterday when it all came to a close – presentation and written assignment for my Operations Mgt class ended at 1pm yesterday. Met up with Eva to hang out for a while after that; we traipsed round to Spotlight on Sydney Road, then to Bridge Road and then finally ended up back at Fed Sq (was chatted up by this weirdo while stuck on the tram too, but we shan’t get into that) where we took photos of Catie and Andi (Eva’s Kenner) in the evening lights. Cane home, had dinner, cleaned up, and collapsed into bed at 8.30pm where I slept like the dead…..
…..And woke up 16 hours later past noon today.
I’ve never studied a subject with as many acronyms as POM (Productions and Operations Management). Doing my last assignment for the semester now, and it’s pure torture just trying to figure out what authors are writing about in academic papers. With JIT, MRP, ERP and TQM systems in place in OM, traditional MPC systems are fast becoming obsolete. TQ is highly important in service industries, both in B2B and B2C organisations. On top of that, there’s calculations involved, and the CPM apparently is examinable. Great. On top of that, CPM is comparable to PERT, and also linked to PPA, but thank gawd that’s out of the assignment scope, so I’m spared.
Can anyone say OMG, WTF? Cos I did, and if I could, I’ll be not doing this and just surfing the WWW now.
